HSHA Rate Gyro - Steering/Orientation in Vertical Holes

Our HSHA Rate Gyro is extremely useful when drilling vertical directional holes taking all the guess work out of this type of drilling. by utlising 'Gyro tool face' it is now possible to orientate a motor or wedge in the vertical plane.

A mule shoe assembly is fitted to the end of the HSHA Rate Gyro and orientated to Gyro tool face on the surface to establish a zero reference direction.

The assembly is then lowered into the hole providing real-time directional data as the tool traverses the hole. Once the tool has seated, the 'Gyro tool face' is displayed indicating the orientation of the motor or wedge. The Gyro is then pulled from the hole and drilling continues. Checks can very simply and quickly be made as the hole progresses to ensure the navi motor is heading in the desired direction.

The rods can be rotated to precision while the actual orientation of the motor or wedge are displayed on screen.

The Gyro is then pulled from the hole and drilling continues. Checks can very simply and quickly be made as the hole progresses to ensure the navi motor is heading in the desired direction
