The world-leading core imaging and interpretation system provides unparalleled quality and control in the management and logging of core. The solution has been developed over the past 4 years to increase the quality and consistency of core logging and reduce the time spent on repetitive and mundane tasks.
An efficient, intuitive core imaging system, which rapidly captures high-resolution images. Our system enables you to acquire up to 1000 meters per shift of core and works with a wide range of core box shapes. SPECTOR Optics images are acquired with a resolution of greater than 100 micro-meters per pixel, what you receive is a calibrated, and consistent image regardless of the location of the instrument or the operator:

A desktop software application which is KORE’s hub for analysing data in a collaborative fashion. Using SPECTOR Geo, a geologist is able to depth reference their core, log lithology, alteration, and veins, and pick geotechnical features such as fractures and faults. The software provides simple, intuitive touch gestures to log your core with ease. SPECTOR Geo is designed to allow for remote logging and collaboration with team members anywhere in the world all working off the same central database. The software has several collaboration features to allow sharing of images and interpretations within the software or via email. SPECTOR Geo is powered by our AI called Joyce, which automates many of the common repetitive tasks and provides auto-prediction features
A suite of cloud-based AI products that perform different tasks. Currently, we have models to segment rock, classify lithology and alteration, detect veins, and localize fractures. All AI predictions are generated in the cloud after an image is uploaded from SPECTOR Optics and can be visualized, accepted, or corrected in SPECTOR Geo.
The AI models are regularly trained and with more data accumulating over time and corrections made by the geologist, SPECTOR AI learns and improves accuracy.
Benefits -In a recent survey, our clients have reported achieving unparalleled efficiencies in core management and logging when compared to traditional methods. The use of SPECTOR has on average improved data entry time by 44% for exploration projects and 29% faster for production projects.
